WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK

Walter Van Beirendonck, one of the Antwerp Six, graduated from the Antwerp Fashion Academy in 1980. Since 1983, he has released colourful, graphic collections influenced by art, literature, and diverse cultural references. In the 1990s, he gained international recognition with his W.&L.T. (Wild and Lethal Trash) line. He also designed costumes for theatre and dance, curated influential exhibitions, and served for many years as head of the Antwerp Fashion Academy.
